Truth; subjective illusion or objective reality? Human construct or elemental state of being? This time, in the sixth episode of Killer Whales Sam and Stu dedicate over an hour of precious time answering neither of these questions. Instead they formulate important theories about the male sit-down-wee and its more extravagant cousin, the free-hand-wee. Possible implications of humans being alone in the universe are briefly discussed before the whisky is poured for the most epic and important Trek Watch to date. Pitiful androids, glorified bus drivers and certain characters simply not being ace prelude a crushing assessment of a beloved sci-fi series. Is this the end of Trek Watch? The truth is…

Sam and Stu are angry and sweary, and its all because of their special guest. That’s right! Killer Whales welcomes first time special contributor and very old friend, Rhos. Bad drivers? Grrrrr! International Womens day? Grrrrr! Not knowing about international men’s day? Grrrr? Stupid f**king, w**king, s**tty biomass energy? GAAAAHHHHHH! It’s a good job we had a beep machine handy. In calmer moments we are able to sensibly discuss why walking alone without a dog is deeply suspicious and the ways and means of surviving a zombie apocalypse. Trek Watch? Sure… its back… but the usual nerdy conversation takes a ‘sticky’ turn. Crude, rude and frankly way to long, its EPISODE FIIIIIVE!

In this Podcast Stu and Sam discuss if killer whales could be considered as metaphors for internet trolls, only to be diverted by the more pressing issue of primacy within superhero duel identities. After that delicious entree comes the importance of toilet etiquette and an intriguing origin story for the podcast drink of choice – Laphroaig quarter cask whisky. Boring? Well yes it would be, if it wasn’t for all the wood. Jurassic park gets a mention… Liam Hemsworth has a hard time in a bar… trek watch, the usual idiocy. You’re welcome listeners!

What is Stuarts problem with Tesco? what was with Michael Jacksons binary definition of romantic involvement? And why can’t Star Trek writers come up with more original plots? These universal problems are resolved for your listening pleasure, right here, right now by two of the top exerts in their field. As a bonus, they revisit the age-old issue of sexual politics in science fiction entertainment. There is also a rap. Enjoy
NERD ALERT! More silliness. We had a lot of laughs
during this podcast. Trek Update is back with possible contractual implications…
NERD ALERT! This podcast includes references
to the wonderfully camp ‘Batman: The Movie’ (1966) staring Adam West, which
includes a famous scene where Batman finds a use for Shark Repellent Bat-Spray…
go and look it up on YouTube… and also ‘Batman Returns’ (1992), starring
Michael Keaton, in which arch-villain The Penguin sends an army of penguins
with firework rockets attached to their backs to attack Gotham and battle
batman. Awesome stuff.

First of a few. Sam and Stu talk nonsense about what they want their podcast to be, but ultimately, and obviously, end up talking about music, films, and Star Trek.
